Our fifth PDQ Machines’ Christmas Star is Case Luggage – selling the world’s finest luggage.
It’s our last festive post to highlight PDQ Machines clients who were complimentary about our credit card machines and customer service.
And in the spirit of Christmas (and ‘quid pro quo’) we’re saying ‘thank you’ by recommending a product or service that we think would make a great pressie for family or friends.
Sonia Levien-Samuels of Case Luggage told us:
“Great service, best PDQ company I have ever dealt with, so professional and helpful, with the latest equipment. Great doing business with them”
Case Luggage have a magnitude of great pressie ideas from a few pounds upwards. We were drawn to their Stocking Fillers and the Tommy Hilfiger Hampton leather Credit Card holder. Well we would be, wouldn’t we?
Our fourth PDQ Machines Christmas Star is GillianGladRag based in Dorking, Surrey and ‘suppliers of fluffy goods to the cognoscenti’!
Our Christmas Stars posts highlight PDQ Machines clients who said something nice about our credit card machines and customer service recently. And in the spirit of Christmas (and ‘quid pro quo’) we’re saying ‘thank you’ by recommending a product or service that we think would make a great pressie for family or friends.
Here’s what Gillian Harris of Gillian Glad Rag said about us:
“The team at PDQ is always really helpful and it’s great knowing that if you have any problems they are always on the end of the phone waiting to help you sort them out!
There are always glitches when you first set up the machines somewhere, but they are always able to sort them out as fast as possible, which is really important when there’s a lot of time and money invested in your setup. I would definitely recommend – reasonably priced and a great service ”
Gillian Glagrag have some excellent ideas for presents with their Christmas Gift Guide and we were drawn to their Felting Bag Kit – Magnificent Millicent (just don’t ask us why!). We think it could be the perfect gift for any committed crafters in your life:
The third PDQ Machines Christmas Star is FFX Tools, ‘suppliers of high quality tools, fixings and building supplies at market leading prices’.
Our Christmas Stars posts highlight PDQ Machines clients who said something nice about our credit card machines and customer service recently. Fittingly, in the spirit of Christmas (and ‘quid pro quo’) we’re recommending a product or service that we think would make a great Xmas pressie for family or friends.
Here’s what FFX Tools Sales and Operations Manager Adrian Walker said about us:
“Just wanted to drop you a line to say ‘Thank you’ to you and the team. Yet again you exceeded our expectations with the level of service you provided. Although it was only two terminals this time we still received them the very next day and they were ready to use as soon as they arrived.
This reinforces our intention to use your company for our National tradeshow in the New Year.”
FFX Tools have made our job really easy with their festive FFXmas Christmas Gift Shop which stocks some brilliant gifts under £50.
Their hi-tech LED Lenser Head Lamp for £18.95 caught our eye. We reckon this kind of headgear would be an equally perfect stocking filler for the committed DIY-er or enthusiastic DJ in your life!
In the second of our series of PDQ Machines Christmas Stars, another of our clients, Manchester-based wedding shop, Confetti Box, had some nice words to say about our credit card machines and our customer service. And in the Spirit of Christmas we return the favour.
Here’s what Maria from confettibox.com said about us:
“I have used the PDQ machines and I cannot highly recommend them enough for their service and patience with me have been wonderful… even supplying me with a machine at such short notice, just before a huge exhibition was fantastic.”
The ‘dropping-off-and-collection’ of the machine is just another part of their service which is also really good.”
Now as Confetti Box are a wedding shop it’s a bit trickier to recommend a present from their website as you may not know anyone that’s getting married next year.
However, you could take a look at the tiaras on their Accessories page, and their collection of rogue tiaras from Liza which consist of real aurora borealis crystals, swarovski crystal and sea pearls.
Now these could be ideal for any princesses in your life, and the perfect accompaniment to that Blu-Ray version of “Sing-A-Long Frozen” that we’re certain will be in many Princess Anna or Princess Elsa’s Christmas stockings…
Our Christmas Star No 1 was Zaini Hats.
At this special time of the year it’s better to give than receive. So when some PDQ Machine customers told us some very nice things about our credit card machines and our service, we thought the most festive thing to do was to tell you about their business, their website, and signpost you to a smashing Christmas gift.
Here’s what Miranda Harper of Zaini.com said about us:
‘I have been using PDQ Machines since I launched my business in 2010 and have never had any issues with taking payment. Other traders around me use their Paypal or Intuit machines linked to their phones, which fail all the time and they simply are not reliable.
I have never missed a payment thanks to PDQ Machines and we travel the country at events from the Scottish Highlands to a busy event in London – PDQ Machines stands the test. Highly recommended for all sizes of business”.
Try a handmade Zaini beanie this Xmas!
Zaini hats were launched when owner Miranda Harper could not find a comfy, colourful and stylish enough beanie hat when she was on a winter holiday…
Every Zaini beanie is designed in Scotland and they’re all handmade with attention to detail in every way. So when you buy a beanie from Zaini you’re supporting a British (and Scottish!) business, staying warm this increasingly chilly winter and making a fashion statement too.
And if you’re not sure which beanie your friends or loved ones would like, why not get them a Zaini Gift Card?
We supply the well known Gordon’s Wine Bar on Villiers Street deep in the heart of central London with four credit card machines.
As 80% of their sales go through their four terminals we have a support agreement with them that means if one of the credit card machines goes down, a member of Team PDQ Machines will be there there, within 2 hours, to repair or replace.
Gordon’s Wine Bar, thought to be the oldest wine bar in London, possibly one of the oldest wine bars in the world, has been located a stone’s throw from Victoria Embankment and the Strand since 1890.
It’s that perfect meeting place for all seasons and occasions. In need of a cosey winter rendez-vous?
Step right downstairs to the cellar and nestle into your rickety candlelit table.
And for these perfect summer days and evenings when it’s got to be al fresco, just direct your feet to Watergate Walk and watch the world go by.
Gerard, Gordon’s Wine Bar General Manager told us: “We love working with a company who answer any of our calls promptly and, within a few hours, resolve any problem, and taking such good care of their customer. I highly recommend your professionalism to any business,as it’s not really the norm with so many other companies.”
For the fifth year on the trot some of the world famous gardening show exhibitors are using our not-quite-as-famous short term rental credit card machines at the 2014 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Mark Piercy of Light Innovation Ltd who offer a unique range of lighting, a quality range of products adding aesthetic appeal and ambience to any home.
Chris Lisney who creates striking outdoor sculptures
And Joanna of Jardins Animes who offer useful, decorative and innovative garden products. “The best of innovative plant-supports, windchimes, topiary frames and much more…”
Things have been so busy at PDQ Machines HQ we weren’t going to pay a visit to brush shoulders with all those green-fingered celebs this year. But although weren’t there in person we were always available by phone, ready to act at a moment’s notice…
…as we did when Joanna of Jardins Animes called us yesterday because her credit card terminal went down. Our illustrious Director Simon Pond whipped out his Oyster Card and headed to Sloane Square before you could say: “Alan Titchmarsh”, with replacement machine in hand ensuring Joanna could continue trading until Saturday 24.
Joanna said: “A big thanks to Simon and PDQ Machines for acting so quickly. The Chelsea Flower Show is one of the busiest weeks of the season for Jardins Animes, and a working credit card machine is a vital component to ensuring we have a successful time at this spectacular event.”

We recently provided the World Photography Organisation with five of our short term rental machines for the 2014 Sony World Photography Exhibition at Somerset House. The exhibition runs from 1 May and ends this Sunday 18 May.
The Sony World Photography Awards are one of the world’s leading photography competitions, the exhibition showcases the winning and shortlisted photographers from the 139,000 submissions from across all disciplines, from fine art to photojournalism to lifestyle.
WPO are expecting approximately 25,000 visitors and Cecily Breese, WPO’s Event Director told us: “We are delighted to be using PDQ Machines again for the annual Sony World Photography Awards. The organisation is efficient and the machines easy to use.”
They also produce “The Magazine”, a monthly online mag that looks at all aspects of photography around the globe. Click here to read the latest edition.
We hope the sun shines for the rest of the exhibition and that our credit card machines are getting plenty of use by the thousands of Somerset House visitors.
It sounds like our encouraging pre-Easter tweet did the trick for FFX Tools weekend at Brands Hatch for the Super Bike Championships when they were tooled up (pardon the pun!) with two of our very handy short term rental credit card machines:
Here’s what they told us:
“The weekend turned out to be really good – once the rain cleared and 35,000 people visited for a long weekend of Super Biking. The terminals were just fine with no hang-ups or issues at all.”
We hope the sun keeps shining for their next event in two weeks time and that the other Super Bike Championship events they will be attending around the UK throughout the summer go equally as well!
Spring is in the air and at PDQ Machines HQ that means one thing – a leap in requests for our famous short term rentals for all those open air events and festivals taking place up and down the country.
And just one of those requests has come from FFX Tools And More, suppliers of high quality tools, fixings and building supplies, who will be spending their Easter holidays with their own FFX Yamaha team at Brands Hatch for the British Superbike Championship.
We’ll be supporting their retail endeavours by providing them with two of our trusty short term rental credit card machines while they experience “four days of breathtaking drama” and we hope four days of breathtaking takings too! Here’s what Adrian Walker their Senior Sales Executive told us:
“PDQ Machines is supplying FFX Tools with credit card terminals for our stand at the British Superbike Championship which starts at Brands Hatch over the long Easter weekend, 18 to 21 April, and then moves to other venues all around the country through the summer so we need two short term rental machines for the duration of each event.
They’ve come up trumps for us yet again and we’re confident that the terminals they’ve recommended, which use GSM/GPRS with complimentary back-up SIM card, will be the perfect solution for this jaw-dropping (and very busy) four-day event that attracts around 20,000 people.
Our experience of PDQ Machines hands-on customer service means we know that should any technical problems arise during the championship they’ll be at the end of the phone to help out and ensure we are able to continue trading.”
If you’re planning to go to this petrolheads’ paradise over the Easter break to cheer on FFX team riders Ian Hutchinson and Andy Reid or maybe Shane Byrne, Josh Brookes or Tommy Bridewell on Paddock Hill Bend, Pit Straight or Hailwoods, be sure to check out FFX Tools stand and their market-leading prices.
Look out for an FFX Tools And More update on the PDQ Machines Blog…coming soon.
